Last week I talked about mirrors over the mantel, but another great spot in your living room for a mirror is over the couch. Instead of having trouble finding artwork that will be the perfect size, colour and style, why not use a large mirror? The other problem with artwork is it can go out of style or no longer match your furniture as you make updates over the years. Sticking with a large simple mirror is a much more practical choice.
Living rooms tend to be the place where people in parties or get togethers talk and come together. Having a mirror for your guests to use is always a plus. How many times has someone asked where your bathroom is just so they can fix their hair or makeup, why not have a mirror somewhere else.
The light that mirrors bounce around a room is great if you have a darker living room as well. As an apartment dweller, my living room isn’t blessed with a ton of light, so a mirror helps to resolve this issue (not all of us are blessed with huge windows with natural light). No matter your living situation, have a mirror over your couch is a great style option!
