With the coldest months still ahead, maybe you’re starting to feel a little bit tired of the cold, or maybe you’ve been meaning to re-decorating with warmer tones. I have two words for you dear reader, rattan mirrors.
Rattan has been really making a come back in the last couple of years. With it’s warm neutral colouring, rattan is perfect for a ton of design styles. You can fit a rattan mirror into boho, eclectic and mediterranean spaces. Investing in a piece that can fit into different aesthetics is really important, that way even if you’re taste changes, the mirror will still suit the space.
Warm neutrals have really become the trend with the rise of bohemian and Scandinavian styles. People are trying to keep their spaces a little more cohesive in colour palette.
The other best thing about rattan mirrors? They’re super light. They’re perfect for all you thin drywall folks out there (I see you apartment people). There’s no need for intense dry wall plugs or huge hooks, a small nail can easily hold up a rattan mirror. As someone that has had a lot of rentals, I love finding decor solutions that are more renter friendly.
I hope this has inspired you to go out and treat yourself to a rattan/mediterranean mirror (you deserve it, this year has been a roller coaster). Please for the love of all that is good, replace that sad plastic framed mirror you’ve had for ten years (really, why did you keep it this long?)
