Reflection
Whenever you put up a mirror, consider what the reflection will be. Try to choose a wall with a great view to create more interesting reflection. If you’re hanging it in a bigger open space, reflect the view from your window, if it’s in a smaller enclosed room, try to reflect an interesting focal point or decor element.
Vignette/Gallery Wall
Don’t be afraid to create a fun custom mirror gallery wall. You can also use multiple mirrors hung around a piece of furniture such as a chair or couch to create a modern vignette. This creates an amazing focal point and eye catching scene.
Proportion
When choosing a mirror, the size is always key. Don’t be afraid to go bigger, when hanging a mirror above a piece of furniture, try to keep it around 2/3 the size of that piece of furniture. Adding a larger custom framed mirror will trick your eyes making the space visually larger (similar to hanging curtains higher up).
Lighting
Mirrors will reflect light, making a room feel brighter and larger. Hang the mirror in a space that will reflect the best light, for example over a fireplace, or across from a warm light. This will create cozy, inviting light in your room.
