Simple Decor

Vintage mirrors tend to be larger and more ornate, so keep the decor elements such as lights, or small decorative objects like vases simple.  Adding some small decor pieces in a similar colour or finish to the mirror (for example a small gold object) will also make the mirror seem like it belongs in that space.

Modern Furniture

Similar to the decor, keeping the furnishings in your space minimal will help to create that modern style. If you’re styling the mirror in a bathroom, match the faucets to the mirror to create a cohesive space. Keep the rest of the furniture modern, making the gold accents stand out.

White Walls

Most modern and minimalist spaces will keep the wall colour white. This gives off a clean and fresh feeling, and makes the space seem brighter. A lighter wall colour will also make the mirror stand out, creating that modern focal point.
