Tools
Before hanging any mirror, small or a large custom mirror, assemble the needed tools. You will need a measuring tape, a hammer, a nail or screw and plug and pencil/eraser.
Height
How high off the ground should you hang your mirror? Generally speaking around eye level is your best bet, somewhere between 60″-65″ is a good general rule of thumb. Before hanging a mirror, take a moment to measure the distance off the ground and centre it over the vanity or furniture and mark the centre point with a pencil.
Hanger
Depending on the weight of your framed mirror, if you’re hanging it on drywall, you may need to use a drywall plug or screw into a drywall stud. You can use an electric stud finder to locate the studs in your wall. Frameless mirrors weigh less, but custom large framed mirrors in particular may need more than one screw and plug, so that the weight is dispersed.
